If there is but one
complexion, one voice, and one notion among all the witnesses; if, as they say, they not only
do not attempt to corroborate their statements by any arguments, but if they do not even
produce any description of documents either public or private, (which, however, can easily be
forged,) then, O judges, which way am I to turn, or what am I to do? Am I to argue with every
one of them?
